need help with zoom sampletrak!!!

i just received my zoom sampletrak today and i have managed to learn how to chop a sample i've record and record the chops onto a song. now my question is this, is it possible to record on a song while another song is playing? for example can song 1 play while im recording on song 2? if so how

i have the manual here and dont see it....

sequencer is limited but if you have enough space you can resample song 1 as just one sample. that frees up all the other pads for more overdubs.
