Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I have my mpc to cubase Hooked up through midi from my (mpc 2000xl) in to my interface (Steinberg ur 22) out. I Did The Midi sync midi clock/midi time code and linked it to the cubase midi timecode/midi clock and my mpc plays when I hit play on cubase but it's not recording anything like the audio activity is not moving, if anyone could help it would be appreciated.

So, you have synchronised the playback/timing of the MPC sequencer to the Cubase sequencer.

Now you have to record the audio output of the MPC, as an audio signal, into a computer audio interface, and into a Cubase audio track.

Are you doing that, as well as syncing the MPC to Cubase via MIDI?

Your interface has no inputs at all?

What make/model is it?

If it doesn't have any audio inputs, then you need to use your built-in computer audio inputs, or find/buy an audio interface that has audio inputs.

You need a way to get audio from the MPC into the computer, as an audio signal, if you want audio from your MPC in your computer.

Ahhh, OK, as you mentioned above, you have a Steinberg UR22.

The 2 holes, on the front of the UR22, at the left, are mic/line audio inputs, you plug the MPC audio outputs into those UR22 audio inputs...

The two inputs, 1 and 2, on the front of the UR22, are XLR/TRS combo jacks, they accept both XLR mic (and maybe XLR line?) cables/connectors, as well as 1/4" TRS/TS line/instrument cables/connectors.
