So, I turn on my MPC 1000, and i press any of the pad bank buttons, they will often only select pad bank C. When I try to record a sequence, as soon as I hit any of the drum pads the recording will stop and whatever pad bank I'm on, it will jump to pad bank C. I recently changed some old buttons, the window, some cursor buttons, and the bar/step buttons. I can't tell if this is a glitch or a physical hardware phenomenon happening. I tried to upload the newest version of JJOS1 (the one I had was from 2009/10), as it was named JJOS 5.00. but, after successfull installation, it didn't change anything. Any ideas?

Thanks le rat.
I figured out that there is hope- When i take the shell off of my mpc (the top casing), and test it, it works absolutely perfect. And then I put it back on- and the same issue persists. I've pretty much narrowed it down to this ribbon adjacent to the bottom right corner of the screen. It is getting just a tiny bit pinched, and this causes the tweak to happen. I haven't had time to take it apart since about a couple weeks ago, but any ideas as to how to not affect the ribbon or any similar accounts would be greatly appreciated. - D

Unplug then re-seat all those ribbons, can't hurt to try it.
Just be careful, don't take the connectors by the wires.
also, you can ignore the bottom (white with a blue end? I forget) flat-flex one, that's just for the pads.
