pc wont find mpc :(

i have this usb cable:

i did whats written in the manual (mode, load, f3:usb)
but it just doesnt recognize my mpc.
any ideas?

do you have a card in the drive or a hard disk in the mpc?

a meomory card in the mpc...

There's a sticky at the top of this forum that should tell you which brands and types of cards work best. Try one of the recommendations.

well i have jjos2xl, and its f3 here.

im confused with the sticky topic since im also not a native speaker. i dont think there is any extra ram installed in my mpc and i have an akai memory card 128. what should that have to do with my pcs inability to find my mpc?

your using the stock akai card, safe to say that should work.

Restart your PC, try again.

I always plug my MPC's USB cable in first before doing the menu > load > F3 so i know that its connected.

it worked just restarting my pc (yabadabaduh!).
