ok, im leaving my mpc ren. other alternative?

hopeless with my mpc ren i want to try other mpc.

i dont need vsts to work. all i need is stable beat making/sampling machine.

im just fed up with all the bugs in mpc ren. and i think the mixer algorhythms are total nonsense.

i dont have any experience in other mpc so i want some advice.

im looking for mpc that has:

1. stable os
2. global mixer
3. capable of modern hdd data formats.

im thinking mpc 2500/4000/5000 but dont know if they have that 1 or 2 i listed above.
i dont need any fancy plugins or fx.

2500 running JJos-XL or 4000.

Listen, no disrespect but the workflow is comparable on any MPC? Maybe discuss what the problems are you are having? Just buying a different machine ain't gonna make any difference!

At the moment all of those have better stability and probably more understandable mixers than the Ren, and workflow is not tainted by the new software, the old mpcs workflow is pretty much what the Ren is trying to emulate right now but hasn't quite gotten there yet. I'm with you that the stability sucks, even though mine barely crashes, so many bugs and hiccups, it drives me crazy, I'm this close to getting rid of it and getting a 4000, 2500, or an MV because I really don't need VSTs either, they're useful but I can do without them, just use samples or add instruments later in pro tools.

It's way more refined IMO.

I still prefer the 4K though.

No they don't. They're in the same ballpark as the older machines, whereby they'll wear out through proper use. I had tacts dying on my 2500 that were hardly used.

i bought and sold maschine and an mpc5k before landing on a 4k. i can't stress enough how comprehensive the 4k is. so far as i can tell everything else pales in comparison.

Not sure about the 4k, but they all have the same Mixer type..(the nukai range mpcs) they are all non global mixers..(diff mixer settings per seq like the mpc software)
