Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hello all,

My mpc recognizes the zip drive but it's recognizing the disk. When I try to format the disc it says "scsi not ready" What does this mean? Defective disc perhaps??? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Maybe your drive is dead....Try and get hold of another if your disks still aint getting recognised.
Usually, click click click mean its on its way out AKA Click of death

The scrolling back and forth doesn't work. I think it's dead. I was reading up on the click of death last night after doing a search for "zip drive click" on yahoo. It seems it's a very common problem. I think I might just get a CD-ROM or HD to replace it. Thanks for all the replies.
