Converting Kontakt to .PGM

Does anyone have a tutorial whereby I can take a Kontakt instrument and convert it to a PGM?

I'm new actually doing something like this, I know how to chop but never got round to making sampling an instrument and then spreading it across the MPC to make a .PGM

You could sample around 5 or 6 notes spread out in intervals across the keyboard then pitch them up and down accordingly. You probably have about 3 or 4 semitones + and - before any noticeable munchkinisation/ giganticism effects become apparent.

If you have any of Tutor's multi-sampled instruments, just copy what he did.

chicken systems might have software for this, they specialize in stuff like this.

I bought Chicken Systems Translator Pro last year and it's chock-a-block full of bugs.
I would not recommend it and certainly do not trust it.
It took months for them to fix a bug for something so simple as converting MPC 3000 stereo samples!
There are so many bugs that i don't know where to even begin talking about them!

Very surprised at how bad it is because it's a mature program.

I always hear bad things about Chickensys, its why I simply just ignore them.

I really like Awave Studio (in Parallels on Mac) but I don't think it'll import Kontakt files.
It spits out MPC1000/2500/3000 programs well enough though.

I foolishly spent hours sampling in a Kontakt instrument note by note, into my 2500 for live, no-laptop sets.

Waste of time and sounded like shit. Playing chords over beats will eat up the polyphony really quick!
