wow just what the world needs, more 808 samples. Man if I was roland I would be pissed of and suing them at studio 301 in sydney. What was the point of the vid though, shameless self promotion? seems like it, and nothing new here. I want those minutes back.
I am not impressed with any of this stuff at all. Seems like cheap dinky VAs to me. I mean dont get me wrong I have me some VAs but I think Korg is kicking Rolands arse today, and Roland have no idea. Just riding the coat tails of legendary products to profit from kids that don't know any better. I mean sure if you dig it thats kool, but really I am so underwhelmed its not funny. Don't believe the hype/

I have an R8mkII the only reason i never let it go was because of the quality of the 808s and 909s. I still use it for sampling purposes only, though.

I honestly can't see me buying any of them, especially after buying a new computer and potentially the Sub 37 this year as I'll be as broke as a joke!

On balance I think the TR-8 would be a safe investment if those sounds are what you gravitate towards though. I can see them updating it with all their classic machines, so it'll be a one stop solution for all those sounds that refuse to die. It should also be as good in 10 or 15 years as it is today, which is the sort of gear I like.

Whatever the 'thing' is about the System 1, I'm just not getting it at the minute. If they take the concept beyond a simple 2 oscillator synth, you'll be left with a controller that's totally inadequate. If they keep it as a basic mono, then there's much better options out there already. It's over £100 more expensive than a Pulse 2 and that's an incredible synth for the money! I think I'll wait this one out…

Everyone seems to enjoy the TR-8 in these videos, which says a lot because its clear that they're not acting. Its good to see another person say that Roland nailed the sound of the originals. I can't wait to try these when they're in stock. Roland definitely succeeded in putting the fun factor into all of the Aira series.

Aussies seem to love their upward inflections.

This is the message when trying to download the TR-8 Drum Rack: “You’ve landed at the right page, however we’ve been asked by Roland to remove the AIRA TR-8 samples.” Anyhow, If there is someone that downloaded the stuff, please share a new link. Thank you

I'm glad I got the samples while they were hot.
