ok, im leaving my mpc ren. other alternative?

Huh?

MPC Software has a track mixer, which changes between sequences, as well as a program mixer, which changes between programs.

Older hardware MPCs don't have a track mixer, they only have a program mixer, which changes with programs, not sequences.

Sorry your right... I should've said jjos mpcs have the same type.. and the 5k(damn i forgot if it actually does now I haven't used it in so long).. The track mixers change across seq like mpc soft.. and pgm mixer changes across pgms..
mpc500 i guess has the pgm mixer... I haven't used stock os on 1k and 2.5k in a long time..

The only thing that sucks though is the convert song to seq... It uses your first seq as the master.. So you have to make sure it;s matching on the first seqs.(pgms on tracks across seqs)

Try Ableton Live and Push..... Totally new dope way to produce.

Did software and it was good (i used Geist and an MPD as my MPC replacement, not Ren or Maschine) but felt I was just not having fun and making music just with my ears like on my old 2000. So I'm now on a 2500 with JJOS - second nature and I can unplug it and use it all by itself with some cans.

Actually, on the MPC3000 you can change the MIXER, EFFECT MIXER and EFFECT SETTINGS based on PROGRAM, SEQUENCE or MASTER

Yes, it does, was just thinking about the program setting.

Yes. The core functionality is basically the same with all of them. But you may find that JJOS2XL and up is an easy transition(4000 too). It's my favorite way of working since I got on board. The grid edit mode is fun to work with.
