There is no global mixer. Now it just remembers (without recording) last value that was given, to specific track on every sequence separately. Sooo.. global would give same track value to every sequence, witout need of recording it?
Could you expand on using it, I mean the exact situation?

So It only applies to peoples using seq as parts or loops ad using song mode to create a song..

If your about 5 seq in, and now want to adjust the overall level of track 5, you have to go and change track5 in each seq..

Or you make a change and copy the pgm and add samples to the new pgm and now want the new pgm to take over track 5, you have to go to each seq and change it to the new pgm.

The behaviour i'd like is like how the tempo is treated.. It can be turned on and off.. (seq or master mode)

This way you could change a tracks pgm in one seq, and it will do it for all other seqs.. So you dont have to remeber to do it for the others...

Half way through your beat/arrangement, you mite want to take all the drums down a little in the mix, but with having at least 20 seq(as i work in 2 to 4 bar seq) this means i have to go into about 18 of them and change them.

Remembering all this process just zaps your creativity away a little bit!! It's not a deal breaker as i just use pgm edit mixer values to do it, but it kinda makes the track mixer a bit useles(as i use the pgm mixer instead) until you convert the song to seq. And i'm always messing around with arrangements and mixing while i go..

ahh yeah, I thought so it's for song mode or live seqence changing when tracking out.
I don't use song mode so wasn't sure about how it reacts to mixer.
You can ask JJ but I think he will only be able to add this to OS3/128XL, AFAIK OS3 doesn't have a mixer for now..

AS in track mixer?

I'm totally cool with that...

I like having both, because when i make beats, i use song mode. But when i use it live with multiple beats/songs, i want the track mixer to have it's independance across seqs..

Hmm I mite have a go at os3.. No harm in trying!!!!!

I dont really want to bother jj and his genius mind with my first world problem.... :)

Not 100% sure as I got os2xl , but from reading OS3 seems to have no MIDI mixer option at all.

I think he might get even more fantastic ideas.. so worth a try.

I have the same issue (well, its more a matter of comfort really) and the same workaround as you. I mainly use the mpc for drums and use song mode a lot, since its easier and faster to rearrange parts than having the whole song as one sequence. Having some sort of global mixer would be awesome actually.
