the Haas method works a little different as far as i´m concerned. you would duplicate a track, and shift one about 25 milliseconds later. this will give you a stereo image but is not mono compatible. here´s another thing you can do: let´s assume you have a mono track (also works with a stereo file of course). send the signal to 2 different buses, one panned hard left, the other one hard right. apply an eq on both these channels. on the left you cut out everything below around 1k (1000hz), on the right everything above around 1k. maybe you wanna experiment with the crossover point of the frequency. send that signal back to the original source, pre fader position. this will widen your stereo field and is 100% mono compatible.
pressing Buttons & Pads, turning Knobs, moving Faders
