Single-Outputs .. stereo/mono question

Hey Folks, I am new heare, great plattform!

Follwoing Problem, I have several Tracks recorded using mainly 909 and 808 Samples on my 2000 XL.. now I want to assign single instruments to my single outputs..
But for example: assinging bassdrum to channel 1 is impossible .. I can only assign it to 1/2 .. how comes that my MPC thinks that bassdrum sample is stereo?

Can I somewhere assign stereosamples to single output?

Because it is in stereo?

No, convert to mono.

Bring up your sample in the trim window
press Param
open window
press convert
Make settings to convert your sample to mono
etc.



You will end up with two mono samples
Choose the best one and discard the other
