Is it me or are ENSONIQ products all pieces of crap?

I will be patient and see if there is evidence that those HXC drives will work with eps 16 plus racks. If so, that will be great. There will always be moving parts involved as long as there are cords and cables involved whether the device is old or new. I just don't care to spend any unnecessary money on these contraptions.

but they are such awesome instruments we live with the issues. i find some parts are really well built(chassis for example),but some things like cables, connections, heat issues, os freak outs, etc are common. every used a sq80? really great synth but if you breathe on it wrong it wont boot. But they made such cool stuff with its own sound that I just get 2 of everything, problem solved. ive flipped a ton of sq80s, esqs, asrs, and vfxs. they all have issues but are easy to fix, generally.

LOL in my defense the descriptions both spoke of them being in 'good condition'! To me that means I don't have to fix anything. That's okay. Partial refunds, a new floppy drive, and perhaps one of those floppy emulators is in the works.

Yeah that is true... good condition means everything works..... but **** floppy disks go after a while... especially if they are shipped or lugged around without something inserted to protect the drive. Some laptops back in the day came with a plastic insert that you'd put in the drive for traveling.

No man! Ensoniqs are hard shit! I have EPS and 2 ASR's. Everything works great!

ensoniqs are very delicate.They dont like to be moved and they dont like temparature changes.But they have loads of charactor.The world is full of brocken ensoniqs....
