Any love for the Akai S612?

I was just recording a demo for a guy who's buying my S612.
Such a great little sampler, I really love this thing

Just thought i'd post the video here for anyone who's owned or is interested in this beast

You don't have that "bookshelf" with the baby floppies that mounts under it?

I owned that combo for about a week and realized it wasn't going to cut it for what I needed. I guess it was my first real sampler, but wasn't even here long enough for me to remember it. I went from an Oberheim DX triggering samples in a Yamaha SPX90II (bouncing to tape in multiple passes), to that weirdo Akai thing, then up to a Roland S-550 where I stayed for a few years.

I think that Akai might have been a cool flavor to own in conjunction with other machines, it just wasn't much of a "workstation".
