Whatever it is, it's going to be disappointing on it's (initial) release anyway.

Because it will be

A) Something we don't really need (Midi controller, new MPX, MPC headphones, iPad hybrid etc.)

or

B) The Ren II. If the Ren II will be released then they need to come with MPC OS 2 as well. Otherwise it wouldn't make no sense to buy the new hardware.
And if they do release it with OS 2 then it will be the same unstable buggy bullshit all over again.

It's interesting... there are only a few companies that I am generally in alignment with, when they say something is cool or exciting. I've learned over the last couple years that Akai isn't one of them.

Like when Apple talks about something being revolutionary, I generally get it. Even though I don't always buy it, I get it. But Akai, for some reason, when I see these posts from them, I just don't get excited. I used to, but not anymore. Like the whole NAMM hype machine, never really grabbed my interest, and then to see blinged out versions of their controllers... I, like many people thought... all that hype, for that? :hmmm:

We'll see what this brings, but to be honest, the fact that they mentioned all brands in the tweet, leads me to believe that it's like that headphone branding - one version, switch a couple name plates and now you have another version.

It's like some companies... the bigger the hype, the less impressive the product. Almost like trying too hype it too much because you know it's not going to impress the majority of people out there. Either that, or they really don't get what is a "really cool" product to a consumer. I don't pay enough attention to other vendors to know if this is the same perception people have of them to.

I'm rambling. I'm done now. Ignore me if you wish. lol.

Oh yes, they never dissapoint us. Especially when were talking bout mass surveillance or revolutionary new fingerprint sensors that can be hacked 2 days after release (so easy to hack that even kids can have fun with it) or goto fail http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2014/02/gotofail/
They are so funny at apple. Really puttin a smile on my face again and again :smoker:

The only things that might be REAL quality is stuff that is build for the professionals. HiEnd mastering compressors filmcameras for Hollywood stuff etc. The rest (every consumer tech stuff) is piece of shit. They don't want you to have real quality, they stopped that somewhere in the 80s

peace

Real talk, really wishing i could deny that last statement....bout the 80's...and idd i didnt noticed in the the "tweet" they name All brands...that decreases the chance of a ren or something real new and exciting....if It is going To Be a headphone, and no ren update, its the end of the story for akai...

well.. anyway, I had $1000 to spend, and I bought a Maschine Studio yesterday. I will still check for new Akai products because I am a fan, but my money feels more safe in the hands of N.I

If you don't have Komplete 9 yet, you might wanna see if you can get your money back and go with this bundle instead. Damn good deal.
