Akai MPC 2000XL & Akai MFC42 Analog Filter Set Up

Could someone be so kind as to post a picture of the back of a MPC 2000XL and the back of a MFC42 analog filter properly hooked up together.

I currently have cables from my MPC 2000XL stereo out L/R going to the stereo input L/R of my MFC 42. I don't have any cables running out of the MFC42 to monitors at the moment. I just want to listen through headphones via the headphone jack on the front of the MFC42 but I'm not getting any sound when I play a sample from the MPC trim screen.

This isn't hooked up but what do you need to know?

Have you got the destination switch set to stereo?

Other than that, I'm not sure mate.

Yes. The "Destination" switch is set to stereo.

Are the Input and Level knobs on the stereo section of the filter turned all the way up?

Is the cutoff set all the way up, if the filter is set to lowpass, or all the way down, if the filter is set to highpass? (EDIT: Shouldn't matter until you turn on the filter with the 2-pole or 4-pole buttons)

Is the Phones knob turned up?

Okay, got it working! However, I find that when I switch between 2 and 4 Pole that sometimes I lose the sound. Why is that?
