ok so here we after finally getting the pads upgrade/sensors and thick pads installed and putting the casing back on. I fire up the mpc. Ok so the pads feel great and the sensitivity with the thick pads is just wicked but they are reacting in a very unpredictable manor.

1. each pad does not always play the sound assigned to it and play a completely different one, sometimes it does but it will include 2 to 3 other sounds from the same pad bank on top of it but will either be the same or will alternate the sounds layered of the sound assigned to the pad, sometimes it is like all the pads are on 16levels like the same sound/sounds are spread across the pads

2. when in mode. for example if i want to go in to programs and i press mode and then the program pad it might randomly jump to another window, for example mixer but eventually after a few trys it will bring me to the right window.

im am running the basic free jjos. what could possibly be going on here?

I would honestly take it back apart and just reseat the two connectors, one of them may have worked itself loose when you were situation the pad carrier back into the unit. Hope that does it for you.

if you are running 'fat pads' from mpc stuff, you gotta use a small poking device to insert the rubber nipples through the holes on the sensor by actually pushing them through. i clipped off the end of a toothpick and used it to push them through. pads work much better now although i think im going back to regular pads.
