using keygroup to change the pitch of a sample and not the t

I was wondering if it is possible to change the pitch of a sample without changing the tempo using keygroups. I chopped up a loop and put it in keygroups all wall fine until I pressed different keys on the keyboard, the tempo of the loop sped up and slowed down as I moved up and down the keyboard. Is there a way to keep my loop at the same tempo no matter what key I press on my keyboard while using the keygroup function.

No. Theoretically you could have a different sample for each note and stretch them so they are the same length. That would be a bit of a mission.

Or make a scale out of samples pitch-shifted in the sample editor. They would be the same length but different pitches. Assign them to pads and play the tune on the pads. Still a mission but it's the sort of thing I would spend time on if I wanted a certain effect

You can either pitch shift the sample offline in the sample editor for all of the pitches that you need, or you can convert the loop to a patched phrase which should allow you to change the pitch of the loop without changing the BPM of the loop.

Yup, patch phrase should do it. Patch phrase is not discussed much in this forum but it works well.
