Hello, I am new here as have just bought my first MPC1000. I have JJOS1, and was looking for a way to do x0x style sequencing.

See for pretty much exactly what I want: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=126654

Now I notice JJOS2,2XL have a basic version of this Loop Edit function where only 6 sequences can be used. But I saw in the manual that JJOS3 has Loop Edit that looks slightly different... it looks like more than 6 sequences can be used.

Can anybody confirm for me if JJOS3 has a decent x0x style sequencer?

And can anybody give me the low down on 2xl vs 3... I've seen the comparison chart but for somebody who hasn't had time to get to grips with what it all the features, it's a lot to swallow.

Do you prefer one or the other? Where do you think each shines? How stable are the two?

I make electronic dance music and electronica, but wanted a sampler/midi sequencer to get rid of the box from my live and producing setup. Can't deal with software! It's so rigid! :WTF:
