Weird thing just happened... Guides someone? (Bars length)

Hi

I was building an 8 bars sequence, everything was fine and I was just about to leave it for the night, suddenly something happens with the bars length ..
It playes the whole 8 bars sequence, but the ren shows that all the notes stops at 2.1 and then it continues to play until the 8 bars end (without sound) it won't loop
When I look at the sequence as it counts the bars as it playes, it won't change the bar, but keep counting seconds at the same one.
It's like I've recorded the whole sequence in 4 and a half bar, in a 16 bars sequence

Excuse me if this might sound strange the way I describe, hope you understand what I mean and hopefully it's just me that's been hitting some button I never seen before.
In the other hand, I must admit that it's been running quite unstable sins the latest update for mavericks, yesterday I got the "stopped communicating with computer" message for the fist time ever...

I know, and I'm an early adopter as well, it's been running all smoothly until the mavericks came and made my beatmaking a b****

Is there a way to rescue this project?

Someone else experienced this?

Most of the time, I save after every track I recorded or automated, so if ish like this happens, I close the software, switch the ren off, and on again, then off again, then on again (else it says most of the time : device didn't start correctly after restarting when,just switched off once) and then I reload and continue where it was before the software went flipping....besides that I do not know how to save the project, except the undo button....make saving after every minor change part of your working routine...it sucks donkeyballs but at least this way u always restart where u left off before the madness kicked in
