Turntable to 2000xl Clarification

My turntable just came in. Its a Stanton T62 for what its worth.
From what I've read, the connections go like this:

Turntable RCA cables>>>>>Phono preamp/mixer

Phono preamp/mixer>>>>>2kXL (via RCA cables &1/4 adapter)

2kXL>>>>Monitor/speaker (via???)

I just need clarification. I'm getting all of this online due to limited supply and mobility, so id like to getit right the first time as opposed to learning the hard way.

That should work with no problem. If you have other gear beside the turntable and the 2KXL, then you would need a mixer before the amp and speakers. But if that's all you got, you're still good.

Fasho. So far all I have is the Xl and the table.
I plan on getting a krk speaker.
The rca cable connecting the preamp to the mixer should be the double sided one, right? Meaning that it has the ins and outs on both sides of the cable. And honestly I'm kinda confused as far as connecting the mpc to the speaker.

I'm just trying to total out the number of cables I need to buy and what type, so I can get to work.

2 stereo RCA cables - one set from turntable to mixer, the other set from the mixer main outs to the MPC inputs. Use 2 RCA to 1/4" jacks going into the MPC.

2 mono 1/4" to 1/4" cables going from the outputs of the MPC to the monitors.

4 cables and you're good.

not sure about the xl but i know with the 2000 you should be in sample mode to get playthrough from the turntable. but that chain will work for you.

if you have an fx loop on your mixer thats a fine place to put the mpc if you would rather monitor from the mixer
