Its quirky, you have to some how activate the program by either recording something or changing some parameters around.

When you access the pad mixer and get this message is your current selected track on the main menu a midi track? It's happened to me before but that would be normal behavior since a midi track wouldn't have a program (I play keys from my triton extreme into 4k sequencer).

Nah, once I turned the "type" into "drum" and to "inst" it worked. I tried it again, it
didnt work. When I load a program, it somehow doesnt recognize it. So I have to go
and just play with some parameters. Recording something seems to work everytime.
Its almost like when you load a song from a previous mpc and you used 16 levels you
have to activate it by scrolling step edit on the 4000. Weird.
