Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

i seem to only be able to assign cc 1 to 119 to any of my q-links for some reason. am i missing something? couldnt find a reason in the manuals. any ideas?

Maybe because the Ctrl (MIDI CC) setting for the Q-Links is used for controlling the Q-Links, using MIDI CC messages, received from external MIDI devices.

MIDI CC numbers 120-127 are reserved for Channel Mode Messages, and are not used for parameter control, so probably no point in being able to control the Q-Links from external devices with those CC numbers...

i have never heard of that one. its been a while too. i used those controller numbers from the mpc-1000 q-link sliders to control my external synth. just figured it would be available on the mpc-4000.
