JJOS 2XL save entire memory options

when I go to save entire memory, there's entire memory-1 and -2.
can someone explain the difference, I dont actually know what pattern bank or pad mode are!
is one option more beneficial?

you should know what they are for your own sake as they are powerful tools you can use. And it is in the manual to of course. If you do not use or make patterns then no point saving them and the same goes with pad mode to. So you can use save all 2 or 1 and wont make any difference really unless you have used these features and you want to save them, then yes you have to use save all 2.

I always use all-memory-2, even though I don't use patterns (at the moment), just because it's quicker to scroll to; whizz the wheel to the right, then one click left.
