My first MPC (1000)

Got a great deal on an MPC 1000 (blue)

I basically got this because Ive been thinking about getting a MPC 2500 or 4000. Now I can't afford either one right now (i own a maschine studio), but if I like them enough, I figured I could sell my studio and get either. It was a great local deal (under 200$).

It has a few issues, 5 of the pads, pretty much lost all sensitivity, and the ejector for the card reader is broke.

I want to install JJos onto the 1000, but when I download and try installing (restart holding window), it just searches for the file forever. Just says OS file searching.

Also, wheres the cheapest to get 5 replacement pads, and the part for the ejector?

mpcstuff.com will have your replacment pads, but i dont know if they have the singles anymore, you might have to splurge for the whole pad replacement kit (its around 180 to 200 dollars) but then you will have great pads for the rest of your life.

I took it upon myself to remove the pads and re glue the carbon paper down, as most were broken off. Seems I fixed all the pads but two. One seems to be farely loose (the pad board itself.) so I'm going to take it apart and try again.

So I found a full set of pads and the buttons I needed on eBay!

So I all need is to find a cf card ejector. I see one listed on mpc stuff but it is out of stock.

Also, anyone know why I can't install the free jjos? When I download the file, it is a. Bin file. Should it not be a os2 file?

I thank everyone in advance that helps. The 1000 is most likely not going to stay in my possession long. I'll either be sticking with my maschine, or upgrading to a 2500/4000.

FIXED MY CARD EJECTOR!

Got the JJos installed. The FAQ directions are very vague just an FYI

I actually have individual pads on eBay right now, I could work out a better deal for a forum member, hopefully this type of activity is legal here on the forum

Also, what is wrong with the CF slot. are the pins bent or is it just the ejector? I've replaced the slot entirely and also made repairs to the metal ejector plate that attaches to the slot, so I may be of some help for a repair. Just let me know, congrats on joining the 1K community

The metal part of the ejector (that clips onto the board), pops off often. The tabs that are on the board, so it doesn't slide off, are worn, and don't keep the ejector seated. I glued the areas where they connect, and its been working fine, but doesn't seem that great. Probably will break again.
