:worthy: we have 2 X 16mb ram in our MPC 2000XL we go to sampl mode then open window,
it shows 32mb installed with only 189.2 sec of time
if we get 1 X 32mb ram will it give us the max amount of sampl time ?

How much were you expecting?
That is the maximum you get for stereo samples.
If you change to mono in the sampling screen you will get double that.

The 32mb ram stick will give you the same.

44.1kHz/16bit digital audio is 5MB per minute if mono, 10MB per minute if stereo.

32MB therefore should give 3.2 minutes of stereo sample time, or 192 seconds (you possibly lose a little of that to sequence memory?).

So no malfunction, it is working the way it should, whether the 32MB is 2 x 16MB SIMMs, or 1 x 32MB SIMM, it will not make any difference.
