E-mu Sp1200 vs Maschine (sp1200 mode)

If we only focusing on the sound how close, does Maschine sp1200 mode come to the original.

Ive never had a maschine but if you post up some clips where the "sp1200 mode" is applied i can listen to it and see if it resembles the the SP sound.

There was another thread on gearslutz where some dude did the same beat on both machines, but i can't find it anymore.

In conclusion: Maschines SP1200 mode is pretty damn close to the real thing.

the clever thing with maschine´s vintage mode is the interaction when tuning the sample. so the sp1200 mode(s) for instance work dynamically. the "grit" and ring mod effects increase when tuning increases or decreases.

it´s not just a static bit reduction!

This ^^ .

It changes w/ the tuning like how w/ the SP you hear a big difference w/ sampling at 33 or 45 and then play w/ the tuning .

I think it's the closest emulation I've heard and it's pretty much the only reason I bought Maschine when they came out w/ this feature in 1.5 .

Is this still available in 2.0? Looking for it in my studio version.

yup, load a sampler (eg. any audio file), check that "sound" is selected. on the first page theres "voice settings" and "engine" under engine choose mode (standard, mp60,sp1200). sp1200 engine has different filtering modes as well.
