I have an Akai DPS16 had it for 15 years. The earphone jack seems to have a poor connection, sounds like a echo chamber. If I play w/ the jack it'll sound correct, then mess up again, so I know that's the problem. Cost $75.00 to fix. Should I fix it or go software on a PC. I use it for a work station (singing) just download Karaoke tracks, that's all. But would like software to change the key and tempo possibly. Would also like to mix and put final on sound cloud, seems it would be easier from PC. I just wanna sing and engineer and produce...Any suggestions Please

Open it up, reflow (melt) the solder on the headphone jack connections to the PCB it is connected to.
