MULTI'S and PARTS are involved now.

I went from a 6 yrs on 2kxl to 4k and it took a few beats in order to get right.

I think it was Feline in a big 4k thread that explained Multi's and Part's perfectly. I had already picked up on what they were on my own but his and a few other people's explanations made that and other stuff really clear.

After a few months, I went back to the 2kxl, it was so different and limiting. I ended up never touching the 2kxl again. It just sits there in the closet, next to the asr10 now.

The 4k is a full fledged sampler, 2kxl is not. Both can easily make bangers. 4k has a tool kit that 2kxl just AINT **** with though. Give it some time, experiment, more time and you'll end up saying to yourself "why tha hell didn't I jump on the 4k bandwagon years ago?"

Just like I did.

Once you get aksys to work, you'll like it even more. There's an aksys thread that details all of that too.

Modulation matrix, we've all heard the praise of it several hundred times on the forum, but, it's endless tweaking at your finger tips. Incredible.

you dont need the heavy hitter mpc to chop samples. or do you nee a mod matrix. or any of the extra things that come with the mpc 4000

in other words, the mpc 4000 is unnecessary for the end you wish to achieve.
