I am about 1 second away from crawling into a ball on the ground and rocking myself to insanity...

So I made a post here recently where I bought a MPC2500 off ebay and it arrived smashed up. Qlinks ruined, REC pot damaged etc.

But i could use it fine minus the qlinks and the recording was crappy but occasionaly worked.

So ebay ended up giving me a refund and let me keep the unit, so great i thought... I will use the money to buy replacement parts from mpcstuff.com..

parts arrive, i install them (qlink board and vol/rec pcb) and now no sound from my mpc2500!

i can hear the sample inputs, i can trigger samplers via midi from the pads(s900). I can preview a sample, but nothing happens when i playback seq or trigger samples from within the mpc. It seems the sound engine has failed.. :WTF:

There is no way in hell i can afford to replace the cpu board, and I dont know what the f to do now. Really depressing. This has been an insanely bullshit ordeal going through the ebay claim, ordering installing parts, and now this. I just want to make a goddammn beat FFS

So after going through the manual and installing my old board(vol/rec) i have not overcome the problem and im hoping i am just missing something.

heres a video too:

I don't know what OS you're using but it appears that you haven't got a Program assigned to the track. You need to create a Program and assign your sounds to the pads before you can play your samples. 8)
