need serious help. no scsi device?

so i have a 2kxl that i bought and it came with a hd. i want to install the card reader so i got my hands on a floppy drive from another 2kxl. now the problem is that the 2kxl its not detecting the floppy drive. it says "no scsi device". what are my options to fix this?.thank you guys.

Move the cursor down to the Device: field, scroll with the data wheel until it shows Floppy as the device instead of SCSI-0 to SCSI-7 or F-ROM.

And/or...

From the Load/Save screen, press F4-SETUP, change the Primary device: field to Floppy.

I was gonna suggest that last night. But I wasn't sure if there were any differences between the 2000 and the XL. I never knew the XL had the option to change the primary device. Definitely good to have with that machine.
