I would try a cloth with warm water.

If that didn't work well enough, I would try some mild detergent in the water, and after cleaning it, use straight water without detergent to clean off the detergent.

Yeah that's what i would have done but wanted to make sure... Would you recommend the same technique for the chassis ?
