GENERAL QUESTIONS PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hey guys. I just got an mpc 2000xl. I know these questions probably have been asked before, but I cant find them here. Please help This thing is really frustrating me.
1. How do I change the release on a sample? When I hit a pad It either plays all the way through or just the very beginning of the sample. I want to turn the release up a little so it will play correctly.

2. What kind of memory does the mpc use? Hopefully it the regular edo simms.

3. How EXACTLY do I connect a keyboard via midi to record the tracks onto the mpc? I've tried many things but I just cant figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Does anyone know where I can find A manual so I wont have to bother you guys with these questions?

What MPC and midi keyboard are you working with?

Try and get ur head around using the boards search function

When u search, remember to add the word "AND" after each query word to help the accuracy of the results

I.e

* MPC 'and' memory
* MPC 'and' poly 'and' mono
* MPC 'and' Midi 'and' connect'
