Can you sys ex dump from a sythn into the MPC? If so, how? I have my MPC and Triton midi connected both, in and out, shaking hands techinque some call it. My problem is that I have to save my work on both machines, Triton saves the sounds in each track and MPC saves the midi data created for the song. So I'm wondering if there's anyway I could save every thing on the MPC? Also, if sysex dump is possible into the MPC, can I read the patches from the sythn?
Yes, the MPC can accept Sys-Ex data without a problem (infact it is very good at handling it). However, I'm arfriad that I don't own a Triton and so have no idea how to go about it - looks like you need to read the Triton manual or visit a Triton forum mate...
Oh, as for recording it, when you have found out how to send the Sys-Ex data from the triton, it is a simple matter of just hitting record on the MPC and recording a MIDI track with the Sys-Ex info in. Make sure that you have not set the MIDI filter to ignore Sys-Ex data too.
jues.
