MPC 4k Not Working Need Help !!!!

I recently bought a 4k off of ebay and when I turned it on it had a buzzing noise along with the hard drive not showing up im running 1.71 akai os. There also is no output from any source. I tried hooking up my technics 1200 to it and itt recieves the signal but i get no sound even when turning the master level up. Please help me. Also when I load a disc into the cd rom drive nothing happens and nothing loads. Plz help me!!!!

HI,
There are a few things you will need to test and let us know.

I wish you had taken a better picture (better light and a slow pan) of the back of the unit so we could clearly see what it came with and how you have connected everything.

Barring that, you should go into the various screens that show the routings to see where the sound is being routed to.


Does sound come out of the headphone jack?

Have you opened it to see if there is in fact a hard drive in it?
Plug it out
open it (carefully)
re-seat the memory sticks.
See if there is a HD

While its open take a close look at the connections. DO not go near the power supply left.

Ive looked over the forums and there are no answers about this. I am about to take another video. Anyways the headphones jack has no output as well. Even with the headphone volume turned up. There is no problem with my speaker nor turntables because ive tested them today with my traktor z2 mixer. I can't open the last 4 screws surrounding the pads how do i do that. Here are some pics.

Slow down. You don't need to unscrew those to get to the inside of the machine.

You take off the side panels and unscrew a number of screws around the rim on the sides and then the top lifts up like a car bonnet.

Fixed the problem with hard drive but still not getting audio

any ideas why I am not getting audio
is it my routing options or what could be causing it
I hooked up the xlr to the speaker and as i said before i get no signal even when i have master volume up and record in on monitor
plz i really need this to work

return this unit for am refund

How much would it cost to fix it?
Is it possible to fix?

Could it be the ram?

Are you sure? i can check the ram and see if its crrupted or something
or are there any other problems that could affect the output no working

also when i go to the mixer screen in press pad it says no drum program assigned to out 1 or 2
Can someone please help me get audio routed out
