When 1.7 comes I'm going to check and see if my Renaissance still powers on, it's been a while

Just replacing everything lose during a burglary including my laptops and MPC studio and definitely looking forward to 1.7. I was without my Studio for months and thought 1.7 would be here by the time I pulled the credit card out and got more gear. I have been around since just before 1.4 dropped and 1.6 is def one on the longer patch cycles

From reading between the lines of Pete's Tweets, it sounds like they made some major changes, which needed some sort of a rewrite, and that they don't want to rush it through until they are sure it is working properly.

Pretty much.
Per usual, I can't comment to when we're going to release it.
But we're working hard at it :-D

I hope it will be worth the waiting. And with all the requests listed it is understandable it took so long. So from that perspective it's a good sign, unless you'll have been picking boogers all day.

Can you perhaps make a small vid on "some" of the changes and additions, to what we can expect, as was done during the introduction of the Ren, so you can get all of us exited? And potentially upcoming buyers.

Word-of-mouth marketing is the most valuable, as well as most destructive. Right now too many users/ device owners are bad mouthing Akai.

1.6 has been rock solid for me and im sure 1.7 will finally deliver lots of things that we always wanted.I hope 1.7 will be the beginning of some new things and game changers.Although it took awhile,i think akai has finally opened its ears and prolly have some tricks up there sleeves.Bitwig just dropped after almost 3 years of its announcement and i hear its not up to par yet. These type of things happen with new software and eventually these software pieces will be up to speed.Im happy with my Ren and i still use my 1000.
