q-links are getting a little wobbly

As the title suggests, it seems like these q links on the renaissance weren't really made well. There is a huge difference in tension between the few q links I often use to the ones I hardly ever touch if at all. Should these knobs wear out like this over such a short span of time? I've had it since Sept. 2012, but didn't really start using it until January of last year.

Pots can be a bit stiff new and wear in for want of a better phrase.
So you got looser ones for the ones you use more, and the ones you have not used at all will seem stiff. They still work right? so not broken. Its kinda normal but with out actually sing them I cant tell you for sure.

They should go back to faders or at least use 4 on the next MPC.

This is normal for a potentiometer, it's shouldn't effect the functionality at all. Pots just loosen up with heavy use, it will be a long time before the resistive strip wears out. Even the cheapest ones will last a very long time. The are not really super complicated pieces of hardware so I wouldn't get too worried about it unless you start to see values jumping all over the place.

Thanks for the replies. I know they're not broken or anything, but I just wasn't sure if that was supposed to happen or not. It's not too big a deal, but I just didn't want em to break off or stop working.

My Ren Q-Links are just fine. I'm one of the preorder Ren owners. So I had it from the launch. And I use my Ren on a regular basis (daily). No problem what's-or-ever.
