What's up fellow members. I'm looking into studio monitors and wasn't sure what size was ideal for my room. The room is roughly 11' x 13'. I was looking at 7" monitor, but wasn't sureif that would be too big given the size of the room. I don't plan on living in this house forever and wanted to move my studio to the basement of the new house which is why I was looking into the 7" monitors in the first place. Any help is appreciated.

7 inch is decent though I never heard of that size. I have 8" KRKs in a 7x7 room and its great.

You're only main concern should be where you position the monitors. I would put them on the 13' side and at least a foot away from the wall. Also they should be leveled to your head when you sit down.

I would have said 5 inches but you'd probably need an additional subwoofer for decent bass reproduction. 8 inches may have been overkill, but have plenty of bass extension, so your choice of 7 inches (without subwoofer) seems to be a good middle ground for the room size.

Also I'd aim those monitors down the longest length of the room, to minimise early reflections. Add some acoustic treatment (DIY or purpose made) if you can swing it.
