A better way to tune

you can tune(changing the pitch and tempo) in 3 ways and change the pitch without changing the tempo in 1 only way.
You can tune the whole program as mentioned in the master (F1) in Prog Ed, or change it by pad(or various pads at a time) in the pad edit(F2) in Prog Ed. also you can change the tune in the sample edit for each individual sample.
To change the pitch without the tempo you have to go to Sample Edit and edit the sample and change it.
That's all I know about this tune pitch thing...

You can also use the Multiple feature to do only certain pads if you want.

MPCHolland053, TT_Lab, and DJ Hellfire thanks for the help. It seems to work, but not as straight forward as if you used Tuning from the main mode.

This is what I do
From the main mode I select QLINK 4, Select pad A01, Set Parameter to Tuning and now I can go from -120 to 120.

I'm not sure how that equates to using the SEMI which goes to 36 and FINE which goes to 99 in Master Mode under program edit. I'll play around with it and see because it is 100x faster than going through every pad and setting the QLINK up every time.

The Q Link method is designed more for live performance as it's easier to do both Semi and Fine with a single knob in such cases. That's why it's -120-+120 as opposed to separate tune functions. But it only gives you +/- a single octave whereas the program edit method gives you 3 octaves of adjustment. It's actually just simple math:

* +/-120 = +/-12 Semitones (or +/-1200 fine tune points).
* So moving the Q-Link method -10 is equal to -1 Semitone (or -100 Fine tune points) in program edit.
* Moving the Q-Link method only -1 is equal to -10 Fine tune points.

But basically, the Q-Link method combines Semi and Fine tuning into a single parameter.
