New Mashine Update Still no 1.7

This is getting beyond frustrating

Play quantize option, where notes played live on the pads are quantized in real time.
Mix page on Maschine and Maschine MK2 controllers. This page has been expanded and now provides access to group and sound level and pan settings.
Controlling software views from the navigate page on Maschine / MK2 and Maschine Studio controllers.
A batch function to set all sounds in a group to the same MIDI channel and different base keys in order to export a pattern as a MIDI file.
A setting for the metronome to be activated together with recording.
Scenes can be selected / triggered via MIDI input when Maschine is running standalone.
Instantiating the first plug-in on an empty sound updates the name of that sound to the plug-in name.
Undocked NI plug-in windows can be pinned to remain active when not in focus.
Browser performance improvements.
Alt+Drag for copying and pasting of single elements (patterns, scenes, plug-ins) in the Groups / Sounds lists and the plug-in chain.
Sounds accessible on pads on sample recording screen
Numerous bug fixes, as well as performance and stability improvements.

you did read the "upcoming" part.... that's been up since Feburary lol. AND its still in Beta AND you read the "This list is subject to change, and does not necessarily list all features and fixes that will be in the final update." the crying has to stop

I don't see the use in getting upset over programming and coding taking time. Reminds me of 13 year old kids getting mad over minecraft updates taking too long. It takes as long as it takes.

Indeed. I'd rather have a good and (mostly) bug-free 1.7 than a half-arsed 1.6.9 version.

i've Read that quote for months...also gets kinda old....
but do u all suppose we won't get a half arsed 1.6.9?? And what makes u think that???
cuz honestly I'm not too sure....kinda terrible track record...whilst keep dumping new sometimes redundant, half finished gear....why not focus on one thing and put effort in that, instead of focusing on sales, and finding new ways for people too buy new stuff....
100% on 1 thing, in stead of 1% effort on 100 things...

Thanks for the post. I just got the Maschine Mk2/Komplete 9 combo a few weeks ago before the promotion ended, and I wasn't aware of this update.

Personally if they deliver fx automation and audio tracks I'd be 100% satisfied with the ren in standalone mode and I'd want to see plugin mode tweaked for full capability too but I don't really expect that this update.

I only got the ren a month or two ago and I've found it smooth and reliable, I don't know if I'm truly in the minority of users without problems or if it's a vocal minority facing glitches and bugs or maybe people are holding onto memories of earlier buggier versions. From what I can tell the ren came out with a lot of bugs and missing features which is par for the course for v1 software, but it's clearly been improved significantly since then. That seems to me like a good track record so I'm optimistic for future updates. Apparently this update is taking longer than usual but that doesn't really seem like a bad thing to me, more time means hopefully more attention to detail, and it's consistent with what they've said - the features they're promising are bigger deals than earlier additions and something like a global mixer would obviously require significant changes.

Maybe I'll be eating my words in a few months having been proven wrong by a shitty release, but I'm optimistic and looking forward to 1.7

Akai can still make this update BIG with audio tracks.

Well, who knows what there up to? But once it drops, the feature hungry hounds will be starving for just that one more feature. Wonder how so many records got made with the mpc 60, with minimal features?
