OP is right, that's why i stopped reading mpc-forums on daily basis. Too much bs. Most complaints are from retards who cant use and maintain a computer, or don't understand the Ren was never meant to be standalone or never meant to have maschine's workflow. Or bitchin about how they want this and that but can't wait for dev to program it, they want everything nooooooowwwwwwwwww because they couldn't read os status before they bought.

For me, the ren is the perfect choice. i even wanted that quite limtated feeling of a real mpc. working with less material, makes beats richer ^^. the hardware is just too nice to resist using it . ( although i had no chance yet to check out a older, real, mpc except of the 500)

never the less, because of the quite high price of the ren, i want to see further free updates for the mpc software. akai cannot really think everybody would just buy a new device if they dropped support too early

The standalone part is what I think is most annoying..
I think it's allot of old school peeps who complain about that..
