maschine Samples in mpc

hello, I used to mess with maschine but after a year I couldn't really get to grips with it like I can mpc's, anyway I bought LOTS of expansion packs! I'd love to have the expansion packs in my mpc but unfortunately the bitrate isn't compatible, I'm pretty sure mpc can only read 1,411,200 but only a handful of the samples in the expansion packs are at that bitrate. I know I could sample them in one by one but it would be loads better if anyone knew of a free and easy to use bitrate convertor so I could simply select a folder and convert all samples to1,411,200 then transfer them to my mpc via usb.

I have used google and have found various programs for this but I'm hoping someone can tell me a good and safe one, in fact I'd pay for it if it worked and was easy to use.

Audacity should do the trick and it's free. Just convert the lot from 24 bit to 16 bit WAV using the batch process function.

yeah I just used audacity/cubase to lower the rate and re-exported the samples I wanted to put on an floppy for mpc

i use MAX for my mac, it works wonerful. better than itunes, audacity, ect ect imo.

Not sure why you are referring to it in bit rate, it is usually referred to as a data rate with linear PCM digital audio files such as .WAVs.

It uses a 44.1kHz as the sample rate, and 16 bits as the bit depth.

More likely that audio editing/conversion programs will refer to it like that, than as a bit rate.

for the record -- i've used all my wavs from maschine expansions in mpc software without having to convert anything
