I havent talked to Karloff yet. I am servicing and modding a H3500 and 2 Xpanders. It was unexpected. That was the convertor money. lol

do you have the adat output for the 4k? why not use that with a truly excellent set of DACs?

I have the Toslink option installed and connected. I have some outboard gear that I run through, so I need the analog outs.

theres only 8 analog outs... theres only 8 adat channels... 3rd party adat boxes have 8 outs with presumably higher quality DACs. go from there into your preamps and analog mixer etc? no expensive hardware mods.

You forgot the l/r outs. So 10 outs in all.

Never tried it, I dont think you can. I think the mixer only assigns to specific channels.

Tried to get Black Lion Audio to do this to my 2000xl and maybe 5000. Figured having better converters would give a more upfront and warm sound similar to sampling thru sweet analog boards / interface but with direct in. They wouldnt / couldnt do it. So I forgot about it and just rocked what I had
