I just ordered a Pyle-Pro PP444 Ultra Compact Phono Turntable Preamp

I just want to know the best way to hook it up.

I have an old Yamaha TT-300U turntable ( yes i know its shit ) with RCA plug ins at the back, just ordered the Pyle-Pro PP444 and the mpc 1000.

So basically I need to know the cables I would go about using to hook it all up

Great question! Here is how I would hook it up.

(1) Make sure the power to the gear is turned off (to minimize the chance of an audio spike)

(2) Connect the ground wire from your turntable to the grounding post on the Pre-Amp

(3) Connect the Red and White RCA connector cable from your turntable to the Red and White RCA connectors on the Pre-Amp that are labeled INPUT

(4) The cable you need to connect the Pre-Amp to the MPC is a dual RCA to 1/4" TS cable. The Red and White RCA end goes into the OUTPUT connections on the Pre-Amp, and the 1/4" plugs go into the INPUT jacks on the MPC.

(5) Double check to make sure that the red plugs are in the red jacks, and the white plugs are in the white jacks, and that the Red goes into the Right channel, White into the left channel. (this ensures that your polarity is correct)

(6) Plug in the power for the components, and turn them on. From there, consult the MPC 1000 manual for instructions on how to properly set up the MPC for sampling.

FYI, the PP444 appears to have a single 1/4" output in the middle of the unit, but I don't have the manual so I am unclear if this is stereo or mono, or what cable would be used for that.

*a great way to do these types of things is to follow the signal path down the line. In this case it looks like TURNTABLE out -> in Pre-Amp out -> MPC

(not responsible for any strange issues with the gear, these are just my suggestions.)

Have Fun :)
