I am having issues bouncing from my MPC Renaissance to Logic X. The issue is created in my plug-in tracks that are filled with Massive's synths. The plug-ins sound great when they are played in the MPC but when bounced there is popping and clicking and a loss of clarity. So far it's only the tracks with plug-ins. My settings for exporting are wav. format, 24 bit depth and 44.1khz with a 2.4ghz i5 processor and 4gb memory. These setting match my settings in my Mac Pro with Logic X . My question therefore is there something that I can do in the preferences to counter this issue? If not is there something else I can do?

Simon thanks for the reply I really do appreciate it. In the past I've fiddled around with it but I really don't know where to begin. Do I just increase in increments until I find the right setting?

Yes, increase the buffer size in increments until the crackles/pops stop.

Lower buffer settings give less latency, but require more processing power.

Higher buffer settings give more latency, but require less processing power.

When running lots of CPU intensive plugins, you might have to increase the audio buffer size to a level that can keep up with audio I/O through the buffer, as well as having enough processing power to run the plugins.

It is a balancing act.

Probably just that the exporting process puts a different load on the CPU than playback, as it is playing back and recording the output/result of the playback.

It might be near the limit on playback, and exporting might put it over the limit at that buffer setting.

I don't think that's the case... the mpc software does only bounce offline which means the cpu calculates the audio one by one for every time step. and because it doesn't have to do that in realtime, the cpu always has enough 'power' to export it. if you have a weak computer it is just taking longer to bounce it out. the op must have a different problem...
