Cubasis and iMPC

Is there any way to import midi files from other DAWs into Cubasis if so give it to me step by step please this has been a mystery from day 1 so any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I haven't used Cubasis.

No import MIDI option under file menu?

Can you use file/open to open a MIDI file?

Do you mean another DAW on the iPad?



What you refer to is probably the "insert effect".

You can import MIDI files into Cubasis on the iPad through the Cubasis MediaBay.

Might have to use iTunes on a computer to copy them into the Cubasis MediaBay MIDI folder, not sure if you can copy MIDI files directly into the MIDI folder from other apps on the iPad itself, without uploading to a computer and then using iTunes to get them into Cubasis.

No I mean from any other DAW that exports the MIDI data into a file... Example:Your working on a project, like just starting on a few tracks and you have other things going on that day that you know are going to be sitting somewhere waiting for a while (like dentist office,Motor vehicle department, etc.) but you still want to keep working on that piece (now I know you gonna say well why not audio tracks??) well say you didn't get that line right or that chord right you can add or minus notes as you please with midi plus you can change the sounds
(not that cubasis has the best sounds but that's beside the point) I know beatmaker 2 does it no problem but there's only one beef I got with beatmaker is the mixer can be confusing cause you can't see the names of your tracks on the mixer and cubasis you can.... As far as I know but you can correct me if I'm wrong.

Use iTunes to put the MIDI files into the Cubasis MIDI folder, then drag them onto a track in Cubasis.

If your app that produces midi files can send to Dropbox or email, you can use, "open in" to transfer the midi file into the media portion of Cubasis and then drag it into a track(s). Alternatively, if the app can send midi, you can record the midi directly into Cubasis.
