Sampling not Loud Enough unless I do it with a co/aux cable

Having problems with the levels comming into the Left and Right inputs in the machine from a cd player. I just got the left output repaired and it seems I can't get a good sampling level when I'm sampling analogue. Does anyone have this problem. I'm so frustrated with the Left/Right outputs/inputs on the 2000xl machine. What's up with this Machine?

This was also my first problem, when I sampled a snare or kick, sound was much softer, low volume. But when you go to the trim screen..the mpc sets the start at a 'wrong' time, so I needed to scroll mseconds back...and the the sound was harder...

but I think you got a hardware failure?

What do I do if it's a hardware failure? Get another machine?
