tranfer sampler from mpc 2000 to reason 7

hey im a beginner using an mpc 2000.the way i sample is i use a technics turntable, mixer and connect those to the mpc 2000.i chop the sample then create a beat with out reason 7 .but i would like to transfer that beat into reason 7 to further additions. iknow how to sync the mpc to reason but i do not lknow how to load the sample to reason 7. is there any way possible to transfer the beat i just created on the mpc 2000 to reason 7?


or maybe i can connect my turntable,mixer, and mpc 2000 to reason 7 so i can chop it in reason 7 and create it there? please help it may seem dumb but im just exhauseted of trying to figure out ways. if my question is unclear please let me knnow thank you!

So does your mpc2000 have the additional eight outputs? And what audio interface are you using with Reason 7?

yeah it has 8 ouputs but im not using them.im using a STEINBURG UR-22 INTERFACE

You have a couple of options.

The easiest would be to record the audio output of the MPC into Reason, and then use that as a sample within Reason.

The hard way would be to transfer a MIDI file from the MPC, load that into Reason, and transfer the MPC samples into Reason, and setup Reason so that it plays the samples from the MIDI file, in the same way the MPC does internally.

I don't use Reason, so can't give you any help with specifics on how to record audio into Reason.

Someone else will have to try and help with that.

You would plug the audio outputs of the MPC into the audio inputs of your computer audio interface.

Then you would set Reason to record audio from those inputs on your computer audio interface.

How you do that within Reason, I don't know, wait for someone to help you, or look on YouTube or Google for some tutorials about recording audio into Reason, or read the Reason manual.

I have a STEINBERG UR-22 and I do not have the 8 outs. My setup is basic.

TECHNICS 1200 + stanton m203 dj mixer + MPC 2000 + stienberg UR-22 audio interface + windows laptop with reason 7

homie, put ur outputs of ur mpc to the audio inputs of ur computer, via cables or sound card. in reason create an audio track in the create menu, set ur audio in prefs and then set it in the audio track hardware drop down. now just record ur shit in from the mpc. you can always sample ur shit right back into the mpc..

ok so i the mpc is set as a midi i created a new track, bus when im getting ready to sample with mty turn table...no sound is coming out...reason is reading my mpc it detects the pads but it is not letting me sample with my turn table.am i doing something wrong?

Yes.

If you want to sample your turntable into Reason, plug your turntable/mixer into the computer interface, not the MPC.

Or, if the turntable is plugged into the MPC, and you want to sample the turntable into Reason, go into the MPC sample record screen, with monitor turned on.
