I have an 8 bar sequence looping. I want to make a 24 bar loop of this sequence, so i go into song mode and make a new song in which my 8 bar sequence plays 3 times back to back. Now i have my 24 bar loop. I happened to have my tracks 1 and 3 muted when i made the new song out of my sequence. Now those tracks are always muted automatically whenever i start my 24 bar song! Tried a zillion things to try and change it, including copying performance to other tracks, re-doing song mode, etc. i cannot access my old 8 bar sequence because i went over it with the 24 bar song. Now im stuck with these tracks being always muted at the start of my sequence. That is straight retawded!!! Please help me! Thanks.

Not only that, but when i un-mute them, they automatically mute again whenever a new section of 8 bars starts in my 24 bar loop. How can i stop it from doing this? Im sick of all these stupid new akai "we'll just let the machine help make your beat how we think you want it made because you're probably lazy" features!!!

You can't rename anything from hardware, which is frustrating.

When you went into track mute and muted the tracks, you recorded those mutes. Now when you are unmuting them they keep muting again because they are automated, so your unmuting them isn't being recorded and there's a conflict.

the best way to fix it is to go into track mute mode for your sequence, then in the software window on your computer screen you should be able to see where each track is getting muted, as it will be shown highlighted in red. if you click inside the track that you want to remove mutes from, then press ctrl+a on your keyboard and then delete, you should be good to go with the original sequence without the mutes.
