mpc pad upgrade white clips?

ok so the new pads and sensor/plate arrived and upon taking of all the screws i was stuck on the little white clip on the left. On the video he merely says to unclip then edit just cuts to it being off. How the hell do i unclip it? i don't want to force it too much incase it comes off. Please someone help me. I Just want too make beatsss

might help to tell us which MPC? I guess as you are in this section it is a 1000 or 2500.
So those PCB mounted interconnects are a bit problematic with out the right tool, but can be easy to remove if you lift the catch on the sides of the interconnect. So the plug is in this interconnect and you need to release the catches on each side as you remove it. Good luck. Oh and in the MPC1000, the interconnect looks similar but in fact does not come of so don't try if i is that one, which is the lead to the F buttons. Other end of the lead comes off though.

ye its the white clip with the wiring attached to it on the left side of the old pad sensor/plate. God it seems like a nightmare. How do you mean lift the catches. doesn't really seem clear that it even has catches.

yeah you have to have a very small screwdriver to lift them up a little bit. this the edge of the PCB mounted interconnect. Also at same time you need small needle nose pliers or similar to remove it. I some times use a small screw driver to pry it open by jamming it down the connection and twist it. THIS IS DANGEROUS cos this will be a good way to break the metal pins as you will be jamming a screwdriver in over them this way. So I wont recommend that but if your really careful you might get it. Also try and get it out straight and never twist it over 20 degrees or so. Note that the blue ribbon cable also has a catch system and does not just pull out. That one is totally different but helps to know to, just in case. Good luck

I'm in this same situation at the moment, never tried doing anything like this before. It looks as simple as squeezing the corners, but that's not doing it. If it is at all possible to describe this process in more detail, please do. Should i be lifting the bottom from either side or both. I'm not ever sure I know what the catches look like.

Well I figured it all out pretty quickly with a bit of patience but now that I'm inside something doesn't seem to right. Did MPCSTUFF include an extra cable attached to it? I assume I need to remove this one to connect the cable thats attached to the MPC. So I'm going for it, wish me luck and hope I don't **** up.
